At a packed venue, someone hits an alert button. In the seconds that follow, their exact location, a voice note, and a photo need to reach venue security and medical staff, with no lag and no dropped data, no matter how strained the network is. Building the systems that make that happen reliably is Luigi Moca's kind of problem.
Luigi is the developer behind LM AI Solutionist, an agency that builds custom automation systems and digital tools for businesses. At Stratagem 98 LLC, we recently worked with him on MyEventAlly, our platform for connecting event-goers to venue security and medical support in real time. Bonnie Mulinaro sat down with him to talk about the work.
Bonnie Mulinaro: Luigi, thanks for making time. Let's start at the beginning. How did you end up building AI and automation systems for businesses?
Luigi Moca: It grew out of an embedded systems and software background. I came up programming microcontrollers under tight hardware constraints, and taught myself the software languages during and after college. That shapes everything I build now. When you start out writing code that has to run lean on limited resources, you stop treating stability and efficiency as things you bolt on later. They become the default.
The pattern I kept hitting was that standard software solves a problem once, but the real leverage is in systems that adapt and cut friction as the business changes. So when AI tooling became widely available, I noticed most business owners didn't need raw models. They needed someone to translate the technology into something that actually fit how they operate. An automated workflow, an assistant that does a specific job well. That's the work LM AI Solutionist does.
Bonnie: That translation from complex tech to real-world use is exactly why we brought you onto MyEventAlly. What was your role?
Luigi: My focus was the backend, app stability, and live, real-time updates. MyEventAlly lives or dies on speed and reliability. When someone triggers an alert, coordinators need it instantly, with accurate location and any media attached. I worked on the real-time venue mapping, tightened the provider communication features, and restructured the alert workflows so they reach backend coordinators without delay.
Most of the engineering work happens in the details: alert workflows, provider communication, and real-time reliability.
Bonnie: The stability upgrades made a real difference for both providers and guests. What was the hardest part, architecturally?
Luigi: The live, real-time updates. Everything hinges on them. If an update doesn't land the instant it should, I treat that as an outright failure, because that lag is exactly what MyEventAlly and MEA+ exist to eliminate. Making those updates fire reliably under real conditions is the hard part. At a large event, thousands of people are competing for the same bandwidth at once, and network quality is all over the map. The app has to pass precise coordinates, media, and live chat through that and stay lightweight doing it. Most of the engineering went into making the system degrade gracefully instead of failing when the network gets ugly.
Bonnie: What's next for you and LM AI Solutionist?
Luigi: More complex web apps and phone applications, and helping business owners put AI to work on lead capture and generation. The repetitive, high-volume work that eats a team's time is exactly where automation earns its keep, freeing people to spend their hours where it actually matters. The point isn't to replace the human touch. It's to protect it.
Though I'll admit the other reason I automate the busywork is so there's more time left for a good bowl of gnocchi. I'd better be careful with it though. The pasta will leave me broke since I'm putting all my cache into it.
